Wick Monet Proudly Presents “BODIES”: A curation by Claire Lindsey
Pittsburgh, PA – Wick Monet is excited to announce the opening of "BODIES", an unabridged exhibition detailing the complicated and emotional experience of owning a body. Over 60 talented local artists will share their works in this exhibition, which will commence on the 4th of April from 7pm to 9pm, located at 5404 Walnut Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
In “BODIES," artists were encouraged to share their most genuine, unfiltered works dealing with their relationship to their own body. Curator Claire Lindsey hopes that both viewers and artists will use this exhibition as an opportunity to explore the more unsavory parts of the human experience. Lindsey believes that if we speak freely about our hardships, celebrations, and all feelings toward our bodies, we can begin to heal. The exhibition includes works of euphoria, gore, growth, and acceptance, offering something for everyone.
Lindsey, who has worked for Wick Monet since the Spring of 2023, feels that expression of our worst thoughts of ourselves can help us overcome the brutality and deprivation that our bodies endure. Join us on opening night to celebrate BODIES and rejoice with one another.
